What the role is
As a development manager you will find the best properties that can meet CURIOCITY’s requirements (target audience, in the relevant areas and can provide a CURIOCITY experience)
What will you be doing
• Lead the short-term and long-term real estate growth strategy.
• Responsible for sourcing potential deals and building pipelines.
• Build Financial models and underwrite transactions including a collection of market data and benchmarking.
• Build detailed P&Ls, materials, presentations and forms for deals that need to be approved internally and which is required for executive approval.
• Manage communication between all parties involved in a deal (brokers, landlords, legal team, engineers, architects etc)
• Work closely and communicate clearly with executives teams with regard to the progress of deals.
• Lead transactions through different stages (from negotiations to due diligence and closing ) and follow up on various stakeholders
• Secure financing for deals (banks, funds, investors), Source locals partners and investors and build relevant materials
• Maintain relationships with owners and investors
What you need for the role
• 3-5 years of experience in professional services (consulting, investment banking, or project management) and/or real estate (acquisitions, real estate analysis, real estate research, underwriting, or corporate real estate)
• Deep understanding of the Investment Committee & Underwriting process for a fast-paced real estate company focused on hotels
• Highly motivated and willing to train, invest, and develop
• Must be detail-oriented and keen on digging into numbers and variances
• Resourceful and relentless: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in ambiguous situations
• Leading communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
• Excels under pressure; ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment

Role Overview:
As a Central Reservation Agent for CURIOCITY, you will be responsible for managing the centralized booking system to efficiently handle reservations, inquiries, and customer service requests. You will serve as the primary point of contact for guests, travel agents, and internal stakeholders, ensuring a seamless reservation process and exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Reservation Management:
- Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online booking platforms.
- Process reservations accurately and promptly following company policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and promotional offers across all hostel locations.
- Handle group bookings and group itineraries, confirming the activity with the suppliers and ensuring a smooth experience.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to guests by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with special requests.
- Communicate effectively with guests to confirm reservations, provide booking confirmations, and offer assistance with travel arrangements.
Sales and Revenue Optimization:
- Upsell additional services, amenities, and room upgrades to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor booking trends and implement strategies to optimize room occupancy and revenue generation.
- Offering experiences when applicable.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Liaise with hostel managers and front desk staff to ensure accurate reservation information and efficient guest check-in processes.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to manage room inventory and ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest information, and payment details in the reservation system.

Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular audits of reservation data to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction scores to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in reservations, customer service, or hospitality industry preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing reservations and managing guest information.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and customer needs.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and computer applications, including MS Office Suite and property management systems (PMS).

The following qualifications are required:
- Minimum Matric or equivalent qualification
- Computer literate and skilled in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

- Previous Night Audit or Night Manager experience is essential.
